Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence in Service
The Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence in Service are awarded annually towards the end of a fiscal year to staff members that consistently exemplify high levels of effective and friendly service excellence to members of the Rutgers University–Camden community, internally and externally.
Nominations for the Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence in Service for consideration of staff service in the 2022-2023 academic year are being accepted.
Nomination Criteria
Nominations (including self-nominations) are encouraged and will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023. Nominations must acknowledge the following about the nominee(s) in a comprehensive manner (a minimum of 250 words is recommended):
- The nature of the nominee’s sustained service or special one-time contribution to the mission of the unit or campus
- How the nominee encompasses the mission, vision and goals of Rutgers University – Camden
- How the nominee demonstrates sustained excellence in the performance of job duties and responsibilities
- How the nominee continually contributes to a positive, collaborative work environment
- What audiences are served by the nominee (students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students, general public, etc)
- How the nominee exhibits exceptional resourcefulness, innovation and/or creativity
Eligibility
Nominees must meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Nominees must be full- or part-time employees from any department on the Rutgers University – Camden campus for at least one year prior to the nomination date
- Staff members who work on the Camden campus and report to central university administrative units are also eligible
- Individual staff members will be considered. Individual staff members should consistently exemplify high levels of effective and friendly service, demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively to achieve goals.
Selection Process
- Nominations should be submitted online no later than Friday, April 21, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
- A committee will review the nominations and advise Chancellor Antonio Tillis of their recommendations.
- The awards will be announced in late May.
